Q&A with Brody:
What is your role?
I am a high school Field Programs Intern.
Why did you want to become part of the DO team?
I wanted to intern at Design Outreach because I want to make a difference in problems faced around the world. I want to help others both gain access to physical water but also hear of the spiritual water offered through Jesus. This is helping people on so many levels, and I'm really excited to be part of that.
What is it about this ministry that motivates you?
I'm really motivated by being able to help people hear the Word of God. Every community we go to marks hundreds of people hearing the Gospel, and the fact that we’re installing a pump along with the message makes them very receptive to it. Making an eternal impact on a person's life is a huge motivating factor for me.
What are you most looking forward to about your job?
I'm most looking forward to helping create business plans to implement Design Outreach technologies in new countries. I find international business fascinating, and I'm really excited to be working with team members in Africa to help more people gain access to clean water.
What do you do when you’re not working?
When I'm not working or going to school, I like to play guitar, play volleyball, and follow my favorite baseball team, the Yankees. I also serve in the kids ministry at my church.
Who is your biggest hero?
My biggest hero is my dad because he's shown me what it means to work hard and put God first in one’s life. He has modeled how to look to God when making decisions and prioritize his family.
