Q&A with Caitlin:
What is your role?
I serve as a project engineer on the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) team, helping research, develop, test, and implement life-sustaining technologies that improve health and restore dignity in underserved communities.
Why did you want to become part of the DO team?
Design Outreach brings together my passions for faith, service, and engineering in a meaningful way. The opportunity to use my skills to meet both physical needs and support Gospel impact is deeply fulfilling, and I’m grateful to be part of a team committed to serving others holistically.
What is it about this ministry that motivates you?
As my relationship with Jesus has grown, so has my desire for others to experience His love. I’m inspired by Design Outreach’s commitment to both demonstrating and sharing the love of Christ—caring for people’s physical needs while also pointing them to spiritual hope.
What are you most looking forward to about your job?
I’m especially excited to visit the communities we serve, build relationships, and see firsthand how engineering solutions impact daily life. Hearing stories of both practical change and spiritual growth is something I deeply look forward to.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with friends and family and staying active outdoors through running, walking, or hiking. I also love baking, crafting, and playing games.
Who is your biggest hero?
My parents are my greatest heroes. They have shown me what it looks like to live out the selfless love of Christ and have supported me faithfully in all I do.
